Description
The story of the formation of the ping pong table
The sport began in Victoria, England, where it was played as a game in the upper-floor lounge after dinner. Versions of the game are said to have been made by British military officers in India around the 1860s or 1870s.
The name “Ping Pong” was used before the English brand J. Jaques & Son Ltd in 1901. The name “Ping Pong” was used. The name “Ping Pong” then contacted other manufacturers to describe the game using Jacques’ relatively expensive equipment. A similar situation arose in the United States, where Jacques sold the copyright to the Parker brothers to publish the name “Ping Pong.” Brothers Park then introduced its own trademarks in the 1920s, prompting various associations to change their name from “more common but trademark” to “ping pong table”.
The next major innovation was made by James W. Gibb, a British ping pong fan who discovered new cellulose balls during a trip to the United States in 1901 and found them ideal for the game. This follows E.C. It was Goode who in 1901 invented a new version of the rocket by fixing an enamel sheet or attached to a wooden blade. Misping pong became so popular until 1901 that competitions were held, books on ping pong were written, and the unofficial world championships were held in 1902.
